The "CPR" program is designed to help healthcare professionals perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is based on the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council.
The application implements protocols for three age groups of patients: newborns, children and adults. After selecting the age, the corresponding algorithm is switched to.
The program is based on several independent timers. She will remind you with a voice to prepare for the critical stages of resuscitation, the need for the introduction of drugs or the assessment of the heart rhythm. In addition to sound commands, the timer will change color. To restart the timer, press and swipe the corresponding button on the main screen.
Depending on the selected age group, the metronome will start at a rate of 100 per minute in cycles of 30/2, 15/2 or 3/1. The last 5 bars of the metronome are played in a different key so that the medic is ready to take a breath. The sound of the metronome can be turned off if, for example, you have begun to conduct hardware heart massage. When the corresponding button is pressed, when the airway is sealed and ventilation is carried out independently of the VMS, the voice prompts “inhale” are turned off, and the metronome switches to continuous mode.
The screen displays prompts for additional activities. This is a reminder of reversible causes of death or additional procedures in the delivery room.
After 30 minutes (10 minutes when assisting a newborn), the application will remind you of the duration of assistance. This will help to re-evaluate the effectiveness of activities and decide whether to continue or terminate them.
The application records actions in memory, and after the completion of resuscitation, it provides a report. The records in the report are prepared for copying and filling in an electronic medical record. They contain time stamps for starting the program, administering medications, and performing other procedures. The report is saved and available even after closing the application.
The CPR program is an excellent tool that will help the physician to carry out resuscitation in real time in accordance with the ERC protocols, tell you what to do and when, and significantly speed up the filling of medical documentation. This will lead to an improvement in the quality of resuscitation care, increase the survival of patients and facilitate the work of the physician.
Despite the convenient and clear layout of the interface elements, we recommend that you test the program on your device before you need it in a real clinical situation. We remind you that this application is just a handy tool that cannot replace knowledge and experience.
